The room was clean but the bathroom tub should have been cleaned better. Could hear some highway noise even though room was not facing the highway. Breakfast was okay, but there was nothing special about it.

Unfortunately we found roaches, which was found in the room. We called the front desk and they did not help. They stated they could not leave the front, but one staff member for a hotel this size? We are staying one night but it’s disappointing.

Great hotel and short drive to the Corning Museum of Glass

We chose this particular hotel because it's only a mile from the Corning Glass Museum. We stay at Marriott hotels whenever possible because they are always clean and welcoming and in safe locations and easy to find. The staff at check-in was helpful and friendly. Our room was immaculate and the bathroom sparkling clean with a walk-in shower which we really appreciate being seniors. We had a king bed, there was a nice work area, TV, small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. A hot breakfast is included in the price. We enjoyed our stay and got a goodnight's sleep.

The hotel is located right next to highway and it is rather loud. Rooms are small but have everything you need. The beds have a plastic mattress protector that is uncomfortable. Not what we expected for the price..

I bumped my rating up one level because the manager contacted me after I rated the hotel on the Marriott site. The staff is excellent, friendly and responsive. The hotel is not far from downtown Corning, but it is also very close to the highway, so be aware of room location when making reservations. The rooms are small, significantly smaller than other Fairfield Inns I have stayed at. As someone noted before, it may have been a different hotel brand that was acquired and renovated by Marriott. To put things in perspective, when you open the bathroom door, it misses the the toilet by one inch. Another issue is that the rooms have Amana heating/cooling units that are difficult to regulate and are very noisy. “Jump start your day with our complimentary breakfast choices including scrambled eggs, sausage, and oatmeal, plus favorites such as fresh fruit and yogurt.” Well, the write up (posted by the hotel on Trip Advisor) stretches the truth significantly. Forget the yogurt - it is not stocked in the breakfast bar area. The scrambled eggs were overcooked and rubbery. The fresh fruit consisted of wrinkled - well past prime - delicious apples that were no longer delicious (they just sat there because no one wanted to take a chance). The sausage was pale gray and floating in a water bath. The oatmeal was in a package, but my wife found it inedible, even after adding the hot water and toppings. The bacon was burned and very greasy. Customers were very unhappy with the breakfast and I heard plenty from disappointed folks. Yes, the breakfast needs a lot work because it is totally unsatisfactory for the Marriott brand.
